Pilates

I teach Pilates on both the mat and the large equipment (including Reformer, Wundachair and Springboard)

How Pilates can benefit you:

  • Develop your core control
  • Stretch, strengthen and lengthen your muscles
  • Increase your flexibility and agility
  • Improve your posture
  • Streamline your body
  • Improve your self-image and confidence
  • Reduce your levels of stress and fatigue
  • Encourage weight loss by increasing your metabolic rate
  • If you suffer from a chronic illness (fibromyalgia, osteo or rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis) develop strength without adding strain to your body
  • Sports injuries – speed up your recovery time
  • Pre and Post Natal Health

The beauty of Pilates is that it is ideal for people of all ages and abilities – it is flexible enough to be very challenging for those already strong, and yet gentle enough for the physically less robust.

Pilates was developed with the specific aim of rebalancing the musculature of the body, with an emphasis on strengthening your “core” (deep abdominal and spine muscles). Using smooth, flowing and precise movements, it will transform the way your body looks, feels and performs.

Whatever your current level of fitness Pilates can become your primary mode of body conditioning and injury prevention.
